Maine Volunteer Foundation

The mission of the Maine Volunteer Foundation is foster civic engagement and volunteering that addresses human, educational, and environmental needs throughout Maine by augmenting the public resources of the Maine Commission for Community Service.

The Maine Volunteer Foundation was established in 2015 and presently operates through the members of the board of directors.

The resource development it set out to do will support the educational, technical assistance, and funding activities of the Maine Commission for Community Service.

The Commission builds capacity and sustainability in Maine's volunteer community by funding programs, developing managers of volunteers, fostering adoption of high quality volunteer management practices, raising awareness of issues impacting volunteer programs, and promoting service as a strategy to address local issues.
