The Alzheimer's Association, Maine Chapter serves the entire state of Maine from our Scarborough Office. We estimate that there are 28,000 people in Maine aged 65 and older living with Alzheimer's disease and an estimated 69,000 Alzheimer's and dementia caregivers providing 79,000,000 hours of unpaid care. The Maine Chapter is a tax-exempt, 501(c) (3) nonprofit, donor supported organization. Programs and services are made possible through contributions from individuals, corporations and foundations.Millions of Americans are impacted by Alzheimer’s disease, and you can do something to help by becoming an Alzheimer’s Association® volunteer.
