On Sunday, May 18, 2014, the Natural Resources Council of Maine is holding an event in Capitol Park and along the Kennebec River Rail Trail. Not Your Ordinary 5k will be an interesting 5k that includes challenge stations along the route. The challenge stations may be construction, athletic, artistic, or problem-solving and most all are nature themed. We could really use volunteers along the route at each of the challenge stations as well as guiding the participants in the right direction. The registration will begin at 8 am and the event starts at 9 am and will go until about 11:30 am. It would be ideal to have volunteers between the hours of 7:30 am and 11:30 am.
