Description

Join Midcoast Conservancy and Wiscasset, Waterville and Farmington Railway April 19th for a for a day of service and Fun!

We will clean up the trailhead, take a train ride, and hike at Trout Brook Preserve in Alna, Maine!

Trout Brook Trailhead cleanup (9:30 AM - 11 AM) - For those who want to give back a little extra in the spirit of Earth Day, we will be picking up trash and freshening up the trail and surrounding trailhead before the train ride and hike!

The second half of the event will run from 12-3 PM. The train will leave the WW&F Sheepscot Station at noon, so please arrive early - come check out the museum and train yard. The steam locomotive train run by WW&F Railways will venture through the woods and over the newly finished trestle to Trout Brook Preserve. After departing the train we will hike just over 2.5 miles! We will be covering terrain that is easy to moderate terrain. Come along for the beautiful views of Trout Brook! Running Late? Not a problem, you can meet us there. The hike will begin at 12:45 PM at Trout Brook Preserve Trailhead.

Join us for a fun day in the woods and celebrate the wonderful earth we live on!
