Who We Are
The Oxford County Emergency Management Agency is operated out of the Oxford County Superior Courthouse in South Paris, Maine. Emergency Management is the managerial function charged with creating the framework within which communities reduce vulnerability to hazards and cope with disasters. Oxford County Emergency Management Agency supports the 58,000 citizens within the county's 34 towns, 2 plantations and 19 unorganized territories. The staff also depends on the support of the Oxford County CERT-ARES Team, Oxford County Animal Response Team and the Oxford County Incident Management Assistance Team to complete its mission to mitigate, plan, prepare and respond to disasters.
What We Do
Emergency Management is a system for coordinating and managing emergency response when more than one department is responding to a community threat. The Emergency Management Agency coordinates local response and recovery in an emergency.
