Cobscook Community Learning Center

Who We Are

The Cobscook Community Learning Center is an organization committed to create responsive educational opportunities that strengthen personal, community, and global well-being.   The CCLC was founded in 1999 by a diverse group of individuals who envisioned a community center that would be a place for people to gather and be inspired. Since then, their vision has been constantly evolving. The CCLC welcomes folks from all walks of life and ages, from near and far. It is truly the people that care about community and connections that make the CCLC a great place to work, to volunteer, or to take a class.  

What We Do

The CCLC offers a number of ongoing courses and opportunities that include weekly Yoga; Monthly events are: Shape Note Singing, 1st Saturdays; Red Tent Downeast Women's Circle, 2nd Sundays; and Fundy Audubon, 3rd Tuesdays;. In addition, Writers Group is offered every other Thursday; Music Circle happens on the 2nd, 4th, and 5th Mondays.   Annual Events include: RiceFest and the Down East Birding Festival. Other Special Events and Programs are offered throughout the year and community members are encouraged to submit requests and/or suggestions for programs they would like to see offered.
